In this course, we'll take the time to introduce you to the world of dinghy sailing so you can learn to sail on the beautiful Bacalar Lagoon. If you love nature and speed sports, catamaran sailing is a fun and productive way to spend your vacation time, discovering a new sport or, more accurately, a new passion. Sport sailing will not only keep you connected to the environment, the water, the wind, and the speed, but it will also give you a more technical and mindful approach to handling the sails. Stay present in the moment. The basic sport sailing catamaran course will give you all the essential knowledge to learn to sail on this beautiful lagoon. The equipment will include Hobie 14-foot, 17-foot, and 20-foot catamarans, ready for adjustment and sailing. The course will be divided into three parts: theory, practice, and safety. The theory portion will cover headings, sail trim, boat handling and components, nautical terminology, sailing in rough weather, and basic dinghy sailing. The practical portion will help you overcome your fear of speed, wind, and sail trim, until you feel like an expert.
